The Studio @ PDC is home to a team of experienced and passionate instructors who are dedicated to providing our students with quality dance education. Our Director, Catharina Rutherford, has been dancing for an impressive 53 years and has been instructing for 42 years. Her extensive experience and expertise in the field of dance are reflected in her leadership of our studio. In fact, Dance Gala 2024 marked the completion of her 28th season as a studio owner.


THE INSTRUCTORS

Catharina acquired her certification in New York City after completing the required courses and exams to become an instructor. She has also received her Fitness Ontario Leadership Program certification, further demonstrating her commitment to providing a well-rounded and
comprehensive dance education for all students.

One of our beloved instructors, Ashley, has been dancing for 38 years at various studios in and around St. Catharines. She has been a member of the PDC family for 28 years, and has been instructing for 22 years. Her joyful and enthusiastic attitude towards dance is infectious and it shows in her instruction!

Another one of our talented instructors is Chelsea, who has been dancing for 30 years. She has always had a special gift for working with children and her love for dance shines through in her instruction. Her ability to merge these two passions has made her a wonderful addition to our team of instructors!

Diana has been dancing for 35 years and joined our studio in 1996. As a mom of four, she brings both experience and a caring approach to her teaching. Diana's dedication and passion for dance are evident in her instruction, making her a valued member of our team!


THE ASSISTANTS

In addition to our amazing instructors, we are also proud to have a team of dedicated and supportive senior and junior assistants. These assistants have been dancing at The Studio for many years and have become an integral part of our dance family. They provide valuable support to our instructors and play an important role in ensuring that each of our students receives the individual attention and guidance they need to succeed!

Our team is committed to providing a positive and empowering dance experience for all of our students. We are proud of their dedication, experience, and passion for dance, and look forward to continuing to inspire and nurture our students in their love of dance!
